Can an object have a soul? I believe so. I believe every piece carries a story, and my job as an artist is to give it a new one. The piece that embodies this philosophy more than any other at Home Luxury Leonardo is our iconic car-sofa.

The Discovery: Imagination Among the Scraps

Its story begins with an image in my mind, inspired by a scrapyard. For example, imagine rows of forgotten metal sheets, the smell of oil and rust, and abandoned dreams piled one on top of another. Amidst all this, I saw potential: the front end of a vintage car, destined to disappear. The idea was clear: where others saw waste, I saw a possibility. In fact, I saw the elegant lines of Italian design and the charm of a bygone era. As a result, I decided to bring that vision to life in my workshop.

The Vision: More Than Just a Sofa

My vision was to create a truly functional piece of design, a hybrid of sculpture and furniture, not simply to stick cushions on a car hood. The challenge was to preserve the car’s soul—its grit, its history—while merging it with the comfort of a luxury sofa. Ultimately, it needed to be a piece that could not only be admired but would also invite people to sit, relax, and talk. A true example of creative reuse design.

The Transformation: Hours of Work and Passion

This process was long and meticulous. From stripping the paint to polishing the chrome, and from designing the internal frame to upholstering the leather seat, every step required patience. Each screw and every stitch is the result of hours of manual labor, trial and error, and passion. It’s a piece that carries not only the history of the car that inspired it but also my hands, my ideas, and my dedication.
